Nice base for exploring Los Angeles. Hotel was very clean, Wi-Fi.

It was close to The Pond. I had coffee at Starbucks, located within 5 minutes walk. The hotel was located walking distance to Shubert Theatre;))

Beds were comfortable and the staff was LOYAL. Appreciated having a balcony. Museum of tolerance was 1 km away from the property.

They gave us a free upgrade to a junior suite, with a balcony looking toward the hills.
Bed had a lovely thick down comforter, but not top sheet. It was a warm night -- too warm for a comforter -- so it would have been nice to be able to sleep with just a sheet.

The convenience of the hotel vehicle to convey guests in the local area was very helpful. The room waas very comfortable. The balcony was also a lovely place to relax each evening. The staff were very helpful.
The menu in the dining room was not as extensive as I would have expected. I feel the internet should be a free service to guests as most other hotels and resorts we stayed at during our recent holiday provided the internet free of charge.

beautiful and lobby. excellent valet service. good suite and reception.
Breakfast is expensive and minimal even for the $25 buffet. Service at breakfast was slow and uninterested. No coffee fillup unless asked. Staff seems to be visiting each other rather than attending to customers. Ran out of scrambeled eggs , bacon, fruit and some rolls. Very minimal selection for a luxury hotel. It was not even busy because of Christmas holidays. Rooms still reflect 1960 era except for TV.

The image of the hotel
Too expensive, not suitable rooms with poor cleaning. Reception staff rude, inappropriate to the level of the hotel. Buffet breakfast entirely removed while eating. Cost of the breakfast does not include a tip that is imposed later. In a city rich in this hotel it does not have wifi, internet is the only location in a small space with no chair, not suitable for people with difficulty in standing still. Advise against choosing this lousy hotel.

My room was on the 8th floor. The room was big and beds were comfortable. I love the bathroom especially, it's very big and with wide mirror. Nice pick of soaps too, love the lemon scent.

This is a good location if you plan to split your time between the coast and downtown. We have two older kids and they both enjoyed the amenities and view of Fox studios from our balcony.
The valet parking was steep - about $36 per day, although there were no additional in-out charges as others have complained about. Maybe this is normal in la, but can add up if you stay more than a couple of days.
